Never used one but intend to - heard good things about them. As an aside, has anyone used the twin MPP versions, the TL-D's? There's a couple of sub-16A output versions but they don't seem to come with G83 certs, only G59. Are DNO's OK with this?

we've installed a few now, and as far as I can tell they seem ok, had a decent review in Proton magazine a bit back that convinced me they were worth giving a try on our value range.

One point to note with them is that they don't guarantee the level of DC input to the grid / earth leakage in the same way that SMA, Aurora etc do, so IMO shouldn't be used on shared RCD's, or any standard RCD not designed specifically to cope with DC currents - sorry, Friday afternoon so someone else will have to do the type B, C thing as my head isn't finding that info right now.

THey also don't have any shading function similar to the SMA optitrac global peak, so we generally only use them in unshaded situations, unless the customer really doesn't care and just wants the cheapest thing possible.

Thanks for the info.
Well of they can inject dc into the AC then it requires the expensive £300+ type B rcd protection which blows the value out the water!
You can buy SMA TL's instead of spending out on the extra. So you install a B Type rcd when you have used these?

nope, we've not used an RCD at all, we'll usually be running it either clipped direct or in SWA anyway, and just use a double pole 16 amp MCB (which are available if you look hard enough) fed in to a tails block.

I reckon this is where virtually all the issues are happening though with cheap arsed installers installing these to shared RCDs, then a spark comes along later to test the RCD and finds it sticking.

We fit samil very good and no problems yet
