Just passed the gruelling MCS registration except for the minor point of having not refereed to the correct SAP document. I was told it should be SAP 2009 9.9 but other posts on here say 2005. Which is it and if it is 2005 what's the point of a 2009 version? and more importantly; where does it say it?

I am also desperate to find reference to the fact you should leave 200mm minimum gap around panels as other installers clearly are not and I need to let potential customers know they are having a non-compliant system fitted.

Any help on these will be greatly appreciated.

You can deduce it from the wind uplift calculations. In many cases 200mm is cutting it fine unless you have extra anchors.

But it is not a rule written in stone and architects/designers have had panels overlapping building edges as a design feature. You just need strong panels and plenty of strong anchors for that to work. Oh, and good professional indemnity insurance.
