Just built a sauna in corner of outhouse . No electric in there , house is approx 20 ft to outhouse. Will the 6 kw heater need to get feed from mains or can it connect to electric socket ? Thanks mick

Maximum load for a 13A socket is just under 3kW, and most will overheat if used for long periods at full load.
6kW will need a dedicated circuit, preferably from a new local CU in the outbuilding, and a new feed from your metering point to the outbuilding.
Work that is beyond DIY.

Are you having any lights or any other electrics in there, like mains sockets?
Is the sauna enclosed in the corner of the outhouse?

Ok thanks . Expensive job ?
not neccessariilly.aldepends on what you have there regarding distribution board. type of cable and it's method of installation. a site visit is required to even guess at cost.

Yes in corner of out house . No other sockets or Lights . Just need a feed to supply the sauna

So if you don't need any other supply to the outhouse besides the sauna then you don't need a new CU in the outhouse, just a new circuit from your house CU to the sauna.
