Hi folks,

Have been a qual'd spark since 15th Ed / 1980's, but not been registered or practicing since mid 90's. Considering return to the fold but finding the costs of insurance and registration with NIC or similar are making me think twice, plus frankly not sure I have the energy or enthusiasm for it I once did. Meanwhile been teaching since '97 (I.T. & related Electrical stuff) so kept my hand in and quals up to date.

Come on really to get a feel for what the sparky world is like these days ..... hoping that you'll all make me feel like it's worth coming back on board!

Also got a couple of real posers to ask, which I'm going to pop on a relevant forum (I hope!)

Keep smiling!

Dave

Hi and welcome to the forum. Its a tough old world out there for sparks at the moment with many disillusioned with the trade and the various scams around not doing much except taking the hard earned from us. I personally would think long and hard before heading back into the fold.
