Hi

Installed a sb3300 on a install the other day and went round to commission this afternoon.

In turning on both the d/c and a/c onto the inverter a green light flashes and the message waiting is present.
There was plenty of sunshine and I was getting 240v of each string. Am I missing something simple here as this the first sb3300 I've installed.

The system consists of 16, 200w panels split into 2 strings

TIA

Hi Biggs

Not the done thing I know but I swapped the +ve and -ve cables over on the strings and the inverter won't even initialize.
On doing d/c tests I am getting approx 240v off each string and around about 4amps.

There are 3 sets of string connections on the sb3300,three +ve on the left and three -ve on the right . I connected 1st string +ve on the 1st left and the -ve on the 1st right then connected the 2nd string +ve on the 2nd left and the -ve on the 2nd right. The display on the inverter scrolls through PAC 0W, VPV 240V, ETOTAL 0KWH AND Mode waiting.

Grabbing at straws now but if you only use 2 of the strings on the inverter do they have to be a certain 2 ie middle and last or 1st and middle?

Cheers
