We're thinking about moving across from Schuco to Schletter for our mounting kit, mostly for cost reasons, plus it does look to be pretty decent kit.

If anyone uses / has used the kit, I'd appreciate any opinions of it good or bad relative to the schuco kit before we take the plunge.

The final straw for me has been the price being charged (segen) for the black clips for the Jetion / HJ black black 250wp panels, which I just noticed at more than ÂŁ1 extra vs the silver framed version, when I know the direct anodising costs we've paid ourselves are only 30p a clip.

If we do swap over I'd also envisage having a fair amount of random schuco bits to flog off in a couple of months, as we've been using it for 2 years, and building up stocks of every random bit of kit they sell on a just in case basis... the rules of dibs will probably apply, so post your dibs in here if you might be wanting any of it.

We've used schletter for a long time now- the sheer amount of different bits and pieces that Schuco offer put me off. if you were missing a bit it was always a re-order, don't have that problem with schletter

thanks for the feedback.

so one vote in favor.

tbh, I've pretty much made my mind up to make the transition anyway. Apart from anything else they do 4m rails, and our 2nd van has 4 meter rail rack...

We moved to schletter. Generally we like it, the clips can be very fiddly if you dont get it right first time, order a few extras as sometimes they cant be fixed.

Also have a load of schueco stuff on the van...

We use 90% schuco and 10% Schletter. We have to use Schletter for the Solar Century work we do. The roofers prefer the Schuco stuff, I think Schuco is a little easier to install and looks better ( I doubt any customer notice), I do like the bigger choice of anchors from Schuco too.

I have thought about changing as the Schletter kit is cheaper but we have a lot of odd clips and anchors and I don't want to waste them.

K2, simple, easy, not loads of bits, good range of installation options. We use mainly commercial mounting systems, and found the schletter incredibly fiddly, good, but fiddly, took us twice as long on one 50kW job as a comparable system..... try Krannich for K2. With so many materials need on our jobs , the minimum amount of different bits that we can stock / store and are interchangeable in different parts of the installtion the better, roofers are alwsy lsoing one bit ot another! :)

and if you want easier still use Renusol, even less parts and universal clips, easy. not the cheapest stuff mind, and hooks can be limited, but the SS fit most things.
