Which is the best to buy, never used Scneider but haven't been impressed with the MK sentry range when I've been installing it.

Ive used schnieder a couple of times. Found them as good as any other ive installed , think Toolstation do a 17th 10 way at a resonable price. Prevouisly used wylex and mk just as good quality.

I bought a Contactum consumer unit today which comes at a very good price and it does look the part, although I've never used this make before. Any comments about this make?

Agree that MK has lost it...can't seem to get the devices to line up properly on the rail all a bit loose and wayward...BG stuff is great I reckon..Electricfix do good deals on their boards from time to time only issue is stiff terminals on N & E bars, good solid slotted screwdriver sorts that...also plug in style crabtree boards are good for dual RCD application as there aren't so many flying leads to deal with..fitted a Volex the other day (not by choice!) and it was horrendous..the board was already half full with blue & brown leads!

MK are ok, but not that mega. Since the MK recall I have been using BG and have fitted about 20 with no complaints! The terminals can be a bit tight, but I just run them up and down a couple of times with the cordless prior to fitting, job sorted! Price wise, they are a real bargain:smile:

MK--bargepole. --no touch. done one last week, supplied by customer. came to fit lid on. MCBs are 1/4" lower than the cut-out. , needed a crowbar to get the lid on. YUK. give me starbreaker or BG any day. never used schneider except on industrial.
