My neighbour had me look at there kitchen lights today as they wasnt working and I couldnt believe what I found. transformers had burnt out but where the cables from the transformer to the light fitting conntect in the top of the downlight the connector block had totally melted and burnt out the cable. This was on both lights. They have 6 more in there kitchen which are fine at the mo but is this a common occurance as I have never had this before. My neighbour openly admits to having unqualified people work in there house for cheap but now they are paying for it. The transformers have a brand name of scot on them but thats it. Any one heard of these? Thanks.
