2 clients with Scottish power just installed, scottish power said they wanted them 3 working days before the cut off. Both sent one today one yesterday recorded, they will sign for them and once signed they are deemed accepted I understand.
EDF much simpler, open to 8 and on Saturday take them in personally and they will check them there and then.
Has anyone one heard this told to my client? Quote
"Just for your info, took the form into edf today. The only problem bit on the form was that the generation meter make and model was not the info they required , apparently everyone gets this bit wrong, you think they would make the forms clearer in that case! What they were actually after was the bit underneath Landis + Gyr etc, which gives the type and other details, eg type 5235B, 5-100A 50Hz, IPH 2W 230V. No big deal, as they were happy for me to e-mail it into them, but you might want to make sure your other customers get that bit right.
They did say if they get an application through by post and it is not correct, then they have to send it back by post, so its better to come in in person.....again just thinking of your other customers.
They also said there is a delay in processing all the stuff and getting terms out. That doesn't affect the record day for the higher FIT, but what it does affect is when you get paid. Not that it really matters in the winter anyway. Guy said that they had a back-long of 5,000 application and they were currently on with August applications, so it might not be till next March or whatever till they get round to mine!"
