I had a look yesterday, after getting their promotional email, but only found one item that was really good value and actually available. There were loads of items that were out of stock both in branches and for delivery!

I know what you mean. I might e-mail them to ask for a search option 'show items available for delivery or in local branch only'.

Saying that, I was passing and called into the Guildford branch yesterday to pick up a few discontinued items that were in stock but not available online.

Thats there trick they say they have say a drill for £20 but they never have them in stock but they have got you looking so you end up buying somthing els argos and wickes are the same

I bought one of these Makita 10.8V sets from them for £115 at the beginning of December:

But yes. I suspect that they don't hurry to clear them off the website once the offer's sold out.

Generally this stuff is only put on offer as a way of clearing unwanted/discontinued stock.
They do it every time a new catalogue is due out

What??? It's almost like they have a team of full-time sales and marketing people,thinking up ways of increasing footfall and profits...:conehead:
