Im told these have slipped blades for gripping screws in restricted access area, loosen with normal screwdriver then grip with special driver, one blade overlaps forcing side pressure to hold screw, does this make sense.

Im told RS do them but wondering if anyone has any other faves, also, what is the correct terminology for such an item...?

thanks

Is this what you are looking for? rs stock number 547-953 screw grip driver.
I have worked on many rotorks and other fidldy actuators (auma, limitorque etc) and found a good blob of thick grease on the end of the driver usually does the trick.

Ha, yeah, Ive got a piece of firebreak putty for the same use, cheers for the reality check.

I have one of thse grip-drivers in my tool case but it only works for slotted screws and not plus-minus (modulo) or phillips etc. Most of the time I just use a piece of Prestick (like Blu-Tack)

I use to have full set of drivers which had a grip thing If memory serves me right they were on special at maplin n I bought them n they just sat in my box till I happened to be doing a rotorx thingy n had bother with the screws HEY presto that stupid set of drivers made their money lol
