My SDS Scutch is a "Duro" brand one and it's never really worked well. The combs fall out.

I don't mean they work their way along occasionally, (which I might expect), I mean they move all the way across, or fall right out every ten seconds. I keep needing to stop and whack it back in with the club hammer.
Using it carefully and pushing perhaps one corner a little harder than the other can kind of help a bit, - but basically if I get another 5 seconds use before it falls out then I'm lucky.

What brands hold onto their combs well? - What sort do you use?

I've found the same problem with an SDS scutch (although I get considerably longer than 10 seconds!)

It does seem an almost impossible ask for a tool doesn't it? - for a little wedge of steel to stay in place when subject to that sort of treatment. - But obviously some are better then others!

Had my Armeg at least six years and it has started to slip more than I would like. Keep meaning to persuade it back to its former glory with a lump hammer! But it has been OK generally over the years.

I have one as well and the comb drops out.

If I had made it I would have put a grub screw in tightened with an Allen key to hold the comb in place.
