Doing a mock EICR on a friends place to try and find out what's causing nuissance RCD tripping.
Was about to start and realised the MET is in a grey plastic box and sealed with a DNO seal... Didn't know the DNO sealed something like the MET, it's making it somewhat difficult to measure Ze.
Am I allowed to cut the seal? It looks like it was installed fairly recently, the electrics are about 50 years old, but the service head was replaced fairly recently, the MET box and seal look like they were installed at the same time...
Seeing as the incomming water and gas aren't bonded and the bond to the DB is far too small I'm going to have to get to the MET anyway at some point...
