Seaward PAT1000S Data Download

Hi all - new to the forum. Just got a Seaward PAT1000S but having problems downloading any test data to my laptop.

When sending data from the Seaward to the serial port all the test results show up in the LCD display but nothing arrives at the Laptop. I cant sea the Seaward in "my computer" and occasionally get an error message stating "USB Prolific Driver may not have installed correctly" I have tried different USB to Serial cables with the same result.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Feel really guilty I find this amusing!!
So a bit of help....
Windows will not recognise any tester connected via RS232/USB adapter.
Make sure you have the seaward RS232 download lead, it is not just any RS232 lead as they swapped pairs around (differs between seaward model too!)
Download a new prolific driver and only use non-programmable RS232/USB adapter
Buy some download software!

If all this fails.....do what he said!
