Hi,
ill be be quite honest I have only ever fitted brand new wired alarms, not ever done anything with existing ones.
badically the customer ripped the alarm panel off the wall as it was going off and he couldn't stop it...
he he would like me to either put a new panel in, or replace the system but keep the sensors.
two questions, is there an easy quick way to identify each sensor from having the ends of the cables at the panel? Ie, can I pop a 9v battery across one pair to make the pit flash or anything? Or is it a case or go back to basics or use a tone generator?
the other question is, can I replace the key panel with a new one of adifferent make or do I need to replace both parts?
Im ideally looking for the cheapest option to get it back up and running.
thanks.
