security light cable

hi, which cable would you guys use when linking 2 pir lights together so that either will trigger the other at the same time, i will need 3 core and earth as i need to link the switched lives together.it will be clipped direct to the outside of the house. SWA is no good and i can only get 3 core arctic cable. thanks

Can you not take the cables straight from the loft.Do you have to install a switch as an override or can you not install a switched fuse spur off the ring and take a 2 core twin and earth to a J/B and then feed the lights that way

As it stands there are allready 2 lights at the back and what is wanted is that the 2 new lights are added to the same switch downstairs ,i.e the one switch controls all 4 lights. just a spurr taken from the other outside light cable was what i wanted to do

How are the 2 lights fed already.Are they surface mounted or fed from the loft?Are they at high level near the guttering or a bit further down the building

they are surface mounted with the pirs low down feeding the lights that are up near the guttering, its a bit of a ball ache to be honest.And the 2 new ones will be a fair distance from the other 2

If they're up near the guttering can't you take a cable from 1 of the lights and put a 17th ed J/B in the loft and feed the other 2 that way

ive got a problem with access mac , i see what you are saying but the 2 new ones are going to be , 1 on the front of the house fairly high up and the other one down the side of the house over the porch, i would have a real problem wiring it internally.

How much would a roll of FP200 cost you

For 3core and earth I would take a swing at about £80 a drum
But thats for equivalent have never used actual FP200

That wireless system was about £115 +vat

You still have to wire to each of the lights
Only the remote controller and switch is wireless
