I have a four camera wired system.

I fancy adding a 5th camera.

I have an idea that someone may have invented a splitter box that could rotate from one camera to another say every 30 seconds - so that you can cover 2 areas for the price of one channel on the recorder.

any other ideas would be welcomed.

TL;DR
Splitter box for security cameras . Is there such a beast!
It’s analogue unfortunately. It’s quite old!

You certainly used to be able to get switching units for composite video sources. The problem is each of the 2 cameras will be off line for half the time.

As above, get an 8 channel DVR, they aren't expensive.
