Select 17th one day course

Hi folks looking for a bit of info on selects 17th edition one day course. My work have told me there doing a 17th edition one day'er next week and was wondering if anyone knows what I should expect as in what format might it be in and what I should be reading up on. Got the 17th book and on site guide plus ECA guide to the 17th but it a lot of reading.

hey, dont worry. it is a multiple choice exam, the only hard bit is learning how to locate information in the regs book.

i would familiarise yourself with how the regs book is sectioned and how you locate information about certain installs/areas

As its an "open book exam", I fixed small stickys, marked with the sections so i was at the right section with ease.

Agree with above, also a good idea I used was using one or two(different colours) highlight markers to take your eyes quickly to certain sections, marking the section text and page number on the main contents page (page 3)
This exam really is only a speed test so it,s important that you have some kind of system enabling you to find a section quickly as the one hour allowed is a bit tight.

hi guys ive recently put myself through my 17th edition and work as a maintenance spark in a factory , was just wondering if my 17th edition allows me to sign electrical installation certificates for any homers i do?

NO. You need to register with a 'Competent Person Scheme'.

Depends who is taking the course Rosco If its at bush house you near enough get told the answers a wee pack of stick page notes help

Calculator maybe needed, highlighter pen if you don't mind your book spoilt.
