hello Newbie to site

have question about led lights 70ma constant current

just got design through i had wired them to star point 3 lights at one location with power behind other down light.

so i have 3 lights wired in parallel longest run 4 meters, just found out they need to be series so my question

52vdc out put driver with 3.2vdc forward current 700ma constant current.

wired in 1mm 3core flex if i group together in series lenght of run would be 20meters series run from driver

guess my question is would this be okay? working on VD (44mv x .7a x 20) /1000 = 0.616 vd less than 1 volt

hope you can help 1st time using these lights

Hi Telectrix

they are 1watt, 3.2vdc forward voltage, series wired 62lm , 0-10volt dimms
700ma constant current
hope this helps marc8

If they are series wired then they must be series wired.

they have VD of 3.2V @0.7A

Therefore you can drive 52V/3.2V lamps with the above driver, 16 lamps.

ensure correct polarity.

hi Moses

i understand that they need to be wired in series i was going to do that at the star point that i had made all i was concerned with that the distance will be about 20meters time i make the series connection as i am using 1mm flex just wanted to make sure it would work.
cheers marc8

As long as you have 16 or less no. of lamps, then if they are wired in series they should be fine even over 100m.

hi Moses

yes was looking up voltage drop just wanted to make sure as i say they were wired for parallel at star point so i will just series wire them at that point.
many thanks marc8
