Sorry to hear about this
However i look upon it the other way, i understand its your property and you should be able to do as you please with it, but i realise this day in age, some people will do anything for a bit of cash
Hence all my kit been kept in a large stanley wheel box & a open tote tool bag, all the rest is secured in the van vault
On a evening after i finish the toolbox and open tote bag come into the house, i cant afford to lash out 3k on buying a new set of tools/equipment
+ this way the tools are insured as they are inside the house, if i were you id damage your front door and tell them you had them in the passage way of your house, claim on insurance for damaged door and your tool kit !
if i was him i wouldnt, the polis arnt daft (well some are but) if they suss its fraud you going to jail man,and will never get insurance again, you will fail a crb blah blah, take it on the chin and get insurance...hopefully the scum will be caught and you might get some kit back, its a big hope tho..
They have to prove its fraud, very hard to do really for a one off
I sound like an expert dont i , im really a good law abiding citizen
Had my van broken into last night and all my kit taken, nothing else including the cd player was touched, soooooo ****ed off now, need to re buy all my kit, just needed to rant
