My sister has asked me to look into wiring of sheds for a new business venture.

All the ones I have looked at have a CU with separate lighting and socket circuits.

My idea to keep it simpler would be to put in a 4mm radial (as per reg 433.1 fig 15b) for sockets and run the lighting from an FCU on this circuit, thus eliminating the need for a CU in the shed & keeping it simple & cheap.

any problems with this?

Cheers
Jim

The "shed end" is the easy bit. Its getting power out of the house to the shed that'll be far more variable and expensive.

Me thinks her business plan needs a revision.

Rewiring B+Q could be more than a one man venture
