My household uses about 500w-1750w and was on a 16 amp breaker until I bought a new 8000w shower heater. I now have a 40amp breaker and all the cables have been upgraded, everything but the meter. I still have a 5/15 amp meter and the question is if it is absolutely necessary to have this upgraded to a 15/45 amp meter.

I only use maximal 8 amp all day long except when I'm taking a shower my usage hits 40 amps for 5-10 minutes a day. It's just 10 euro for a new meter but I'd rather keep this one unless it absolutely has to be upgraded.

dont they have electricians in thai?
if you only use 8amps all day wouldnt it be cheaper to buy batteries?
