Ok, i'll keep it simple.

If a shower fan has been wired off the shower pull switch for both the switched feed and the permenant feed, will 2 FCUs need to installed.

One for the switched and one for the permenant feed.

Thanks for your suggections.

Ok. not even if fused down? How do we go about having the fan only come on when the shower is going to be used.

It's a B****** getting a 10mm cable into the terminal of a switch by it's self let alone with a 2.5mm as well.

A shower fan should in my opinion run on for a while after shower has been used sto help remove the steamy atmosphere which leads to condensation.

It looks like the over run is why it was took off the shower switch, so that it will only work and over run when they have a shower and not just every time the bathroom light is on.

Would it be advisable to put wire it off the lighting instead?

Get a fan with a Humidistat, then It'll only switch on when the Bath/Shower is being used, that way you can wire from the lighting circuit as normal.

you can get inline flow switches ie.short piece of copper tube with reed sw.fitted that senses water flow to switch fan on?

yours benji
