Hi all.

can anyone advise me on whether I can wall mount a shower isolation switch on a bedroom wall behind a mounted shower in the bathroom (cable run via the adjoining bedroom). I would prefer not to at the insistance of the owner who has had her house newly decorated and carpeted. She is elderly and does not want any major disruption and extra cost.

I can run the cable in trunking up from the kitchen with no disruption up behind units to the first floor into an adjoining bedroom, then through the wall into the shower unit into the shower.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Can't get the cable up into the ceiling behind wardrobes etc?? At least then you'll have a local pull switch isolation point... I wouldn't be too happy with the means of isolation being in an adjoining room myself!!!

I guess I am complying with regs then but as I said I would not be happy myself.

The loft room above is a no go zone as far as she is concerned. So I have no means of getting a pull switch in

Some people never cease to amaze me. They spend thousands decorating there homes then when it's all finished and looking Tickety Boo, decide they want permanent installation fixtures!! In this case an installation that involves consideration towards personal saftey issues. But hey, don't mess up my nice new expensive decoration!! Amazing Really!! lol!!
