Hi,
Just want to get some clarification on something for my NVQ portfolio.
I have changed a shower & done the testing etc & have written this up for my portfolio.
In my write up, I said I safely isolated the shower supply via the shower isolator switch which was located in the bathroom next to me where i was working. I ticked the box for safe Isolation in my write up. My assessor said this cannot be classed as safe isolation because you cant lock off a pull cord switch.
Should I just untick the box & accept what they say or should I push it & say it was safe isolation as the isolator was in the room next to me while i was working & couldnt be energised without me noticing?
Think I will just untick the box
Hager WMCS50N 50A shower isolator pullcord switch - BS EN 60669-2-4
18th Edition regs say yes as isolating switch on
TABLE 537.4 – Guidance on the selection of protective, isolation
and switching devices - page 181
Thanks
Michael
