Hi Guys
Customer selling house. Has detailed electrical form to fill in. It says post 2005 give details of all elec alterations and provide test certs.
2007 Bathroom was revamped - new lighting arrangement and shower pump - no test certs left.
Told him that if he can't get certs, I can do a PIR limited to the bathroom circuits.
But, the shower pump comes off a switched fused spur through a Powerbreaker RCD connected to the back of the immersion heater switch.
a. Is this permitted?
b. It's clearly safe, so should I give it a Code 4 / satisfactory?

Cheers

Pete

i would give it a code 4 myself. as long as there is a 3A or 5A fuse in the FCU.

why should it be a code four? its a 2.5 on a 16a fuse with an immersion and a pump [300w] about 15a max. As long as the pump is fused down whats the prob.we know it says fixed load over 2kw own circuit, but thats to stop people putting immersions on the ring. i would not give this any code as this implies in is somehow wrong which i do not bielieve it is
