Hi there,

I'm a time served electrician for a company and have my 2391/52 qualification.

Ive had my time out for nearly two years and I have made this thread as I'm looking or a bit of advice.

Can I test and sign off other electricians installs without being self employed and part of NICEIC etc ?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Nope - you have to either be a member of a scheme or pay building control to do it. - sorry, didn't read properly - if you're working under a company who is registered i'm not sure, but if you want to sign them off under your own name you need the scheme membership.

Hi again, "trying to save money" doesn't really come into it. We parted company with the original sparky, as he was so unreliable. Jon
