Simple question, any tricks on now to use silicone on numerous jobs without the silicone going off all the time in the nozel?

I've tried screw in the end, cling film and tape. None seem to work.

Is it a case of new nozel Everytime?

Yes, it is...buy a pack of 10 nozzles...
Thing is, if you are using them all the time, you get through 10 cartridges on 1 nozzle!

yeah, but we ain't all using silicon gunge to glue pirates to yardarms.

Does the spray silicone have the same or similar properties as the stuff in a tube? Which brand have you used? I've never seen it here, is the spray something new.

Silicon grease is just a grease made from silicon.
Has a texture like watery Vaseline.
Useful for wet or damp environments as it’s non water soluble.
Good sprays, the grease builds up, the more you apply.
Bad sprays (WD40) increased spraying seem to wash away grease already applied.

The grease can also be obtained in non aerosol form, but I find better coverage can be obtained with the spray.

The grease is nothing like the silicon sealant used for windows, bathrooms and gaskets.

Ahh, I think misunderstood your previous post, thought you meant that you could get the bathroom type silicone in a spray can....

Not as a ‘spray’, but yes in a pressurised can.
Press a lever and a bead of silicon is extruded through a nozzle.
If the silicon in the nozzle goes hard, remove the nozzle and the hardened silicon is easily removed.
Replace nozzle and the silicon left in the can is still usable.
