simple FCU question- turning off

A simple question with hopefully a simple answer!

We have a switched 13A fcu which controls an external RCD protected double socket.

I can leave this on constantly and without anything plugged, it turns half off so the switch is level. I can turn it back on and it works fine

What could be causing this?

Seen better Mate, not really worth a second glance, rubbish realy, DIY kit imo, don't know what Tel is doing with it in his tool box, unless he liberated it from a Southerner. LOL.

Never said it was crap Tel, just intimated it was not really that special. I have hit my hands with better.

Thread gone a little off topic as usual.
I think the switch on your FCU is faulty. Replace safely if you feel confident doing so. If not, a friendly local electrician is required. 10 minute job
