I bought and wired a simple Home Depot three led bulb chandelier. White black and copper wire. Wires connected. Turned fuse back on and light bulb came on but the wall switch will not turn the light off. Any thoughts?? Tried every switch around ( new house with no previous fixture as seller took with them).

One of the white wires that’s in the light switch cable is being used as a the switch leg which what angers me. If you ever use a white wire as the switch leg tape it with black tape. You have got the white wires crossed because one of them is the return from the switch. Good luck
