Single core double insulated cable, a code 4?

Would you put this as a code 4?

The cable has no earth but is double insulated and the accessories it runs between has an earth. Or is this actually okay? I can't find anything about this.

411.3.1.1 - So long as each accessory has a CPC, that's fine.

Thought now adays every live conductor must have an earth, i know old installation are ok due to it being installed at old regs

good point, i only thought that because i was having a assement on a job where i only worked on the sockets and ask him about since i noticed single live in loft and got told no they must have a earth within the cable now if installed today. wish id of thought to mention meter tails.

Thats true, but the if some one cut through a single core cable with no earth you would have an exposed live end that could be un-noticed for quite some time, where as a metter tail thats been cut will usually result in power loss to some or all of the installation.
