Single phase leco machine

Right before anyone says or asks I know the answer to this one surprisingly, but any how, what cable size would you use
for a machine @ 40 amp single phase fed by swa over a 50 meter run, cable run in a roof void low temp no insulation?

I suspect the inrush current on startup will need to be factored in to it too.

If he's trying to work things out without the most basic required information, I doubt very much that he is an 'engineer'
