Hello,
Just wondered if I could pick some brains please. This might seem like a basic question to some but I am wondering there would be any problem with using just one phase from a 3 phase check meter?
I'm doing some work in a warehouse which is being divided into 2 units. one unit will be fed from an existing single phase board. The landlord wants a separate check meter for the other unit. There is actually a disused 3 phase check meter there, the load side from this is terminated into a 3 phase switch fuse with no DB or anything coming off it. So, essentially from an old 3 phase installation no longer used.
I'd like to simply take a single phase supply from the 3 phase switch fuse to run a small single phase supply in the new unit. Will only taking a single phase supply though the 3 phase check meter adversely affect the meter operation at all?
Hope that makes sense
Many thanks in advance.
