righty here goes Im moving house Sky + gettin installed in living room Id like SKY in all rooms could I take the leads from LNB to attic space and fit a distrbution unit leading to other rooms? or would I require to get an octo LNB? Ill have a box in living room, master bed and kids room other 2 rooms would be off kids box I dont want a box in each room (cost) but I dont want everything having to watch whats on main tv and I dont want to have to watch cartoons in lviing room ?? Im totaly lost with this OR is there a wireless way to do this?

I was thinking that as well But dont want to end up paying £xxxxx a month just to watch the telly Ill wait til we know movig date then phone n ask them I will also put draw wires in where I can so as not to have cables along skirtings ect

So you want to share the picture from your main box? dont know how easy this is, as you would require really long hdmi leads, or scart leads. As the sky box does not have a coaxial out

box iv got has an RF out at rear thought putting that to master bedroom only prob would be her moaning when Im watching TopGear ect lol
the weans rooms will have Old sky box with RF out linked from main in oldests room

Depends what you want to be able to do in each of the rooms, if you only want to be able to watch the same sky (or freesat) channel then LNB to loft and boost/split would do you. You could also pipe the RF (via co-ax or wireless sender) to achieve that. Much more flexible to fit quad/octo lnb and drop separate feed(s) to each room (or use quatro lnb and multiswitch with sufficient outputs for your needs).

You will of course need a card for each box if you wish to watch encrypted content. If you only want the free stuff get some new tv's with fresat...

it aint going to work, main box coax, to loft then split to all other rooms, will only alow you to watch what is on in the living room, only way around it is to pay sky.

I wanted the same, ended up buying a sky magic eye sensor and running coax to my room from main then connecting magic eye sensor to coax this then allows me to change channels in bedroom, but if someone is watching tv in living room or any other room the channels will also change.

my sky box is the HD box

Aerial/Satellite Adaptors

Any multiroom box needs to be connected directly to the dish this will cost £10 extra per box per month. To watch the same channels as main box in living room, run coax from box to attic and split to other rooms either with amp or splitter. If you also connect an Aerial to the sky box in living room all other points will have independant Freeview.

SKY receivers tend to mangle the "through" signals somewhat and can cause loss of "freeview" digital signals on any tv that is connected to it. Thats why I use what I use.
