Hello all
I been reading a couple of differnt articles, when using twin brown as switch wire. The permenant live must be identifed so different to the switched live. If this is the case would you use a different colour sleeve or maybe tag it. Or would you just use twin & earth and sleeve the neutral. easier as only carrying one rool of wire on the van.
thanks ben

Would love to see those articles and who wrote them.

No need to identify a switched live conductor, if its brown.

No different from using singles in conduit.

I haven't had a rant yet today so here goes.

Why the hell should you have to identify a switch line? Anyone opening up the switch should expect to have LIVE conductors connected to the switch terminals. If they don't then they shouldn't be in there in the first place ! Oooooo this conductor in this here switch connected to L1 is blue therefore it is a neutral......give me strength !

Rant over. Thank you for your patience.

Switchlines must be marked brown at their terminations.514.3.1.

Absence of correct labelling is a C3, reversed polarity is a C1 (BPG-4). You choose.
