Bloke I work with said that his came home from uni complaining off a similar thing all he did was run disk clean which got rid off all the temp internet files and other rubbish and then did a defrag of the hard drive

Re the Q...make sure your machine isn't infested with Spyware etc, I use Spybot and MS Essentials (Free!), seems to give a reasonably smooth and clean running computer.

watch what you say LOL or you will get Pwned.......and you don't want that ....end up getting searched and walking funny after they try to turn you into emu (think of 1980's tv emu)

Hahaha...coming home from France once with wifey and BinLaw, at the Chunnel, for some reason the geezers were convinced I was carrying.
They took the car apart searching, but he's creaming himself with fear that he was going to get 'searched'.

Ccleaner does a good job of cleaning up a PC and fixing registry problems available as a free download. Malwarebytes good for getting rid of malware
