SMA problem

Another moan
I have faulty 2000HF . Varistor fault. I determine this by site visit and visual looking at inverter.
SMA want me to take main cover off and check the Varistor with meter (warranty issue ?). If faulty go back to office re order replacement varistor from SMA but i will need a removal tool. If not faulty order replacement inverter. Some warranty.
Moan over. Just glad the job is local.

Point made. About time SMA had a onsite service engineers team to sort their own problens eh. Ive ran out of fingers to count the amount of replacements we've had but I try not to think too much about it

If not faulty order replacement inverter. Some warranty.

Why not just claim varistor was not faulty and get them to sort you out a new inverter?

As you say, why should you repair their faulty item?
