Small job. new to the game. abit of advice

Hello all, new to the game.
The work is to intstall an extra double socket to a ring. And also to add a one way light connected via a juction box in the loft.
I plan to spur off the ring, under floor boards. Lengthwise, 1.5m. Cable, 2.5/1.5.

The light, I will run 1.5/1.0 t+e to ceiling rose from the junction box and the switch cable wired from the ceiling rose.

All ok?

If this light is for the loft I would take your feed from an upstairs hallway or bedroom ceiling rose (whichever is closest to your new switch) run it to your switch, connector block/wago the N and then up to the light. One straight run with no messing about with jbs.

We all start somewhere but this is week 1 college stuff, are you ok with safe isolation procedures?

See if you can take the lighting feed & neutral from an existing fitting rather than a JB in the loft.

Is any of this notifiable ie. kitchen or bathroom?

The light is for a small room off of a double bedroom with downlights. The bathroom has a standard ceiling rose so will use that. So run 1.5 to a switch. You say connector block the neutral. at the switch? remind me why? Cheers for the quick response!

Just out of interest, what qualifications do you have before i/we give you any more help that could endanger yourself or others?

Level 3 2330, but no domestic experiance it seems.
Looking back on past papers and tutor conversations that was advice.

I could be really sarcastic here and say something along the lines of "Dont they have one way lighting circuits in commercial & industrial premises?" But I won't. Ok at your new light fitting you need a line and a neutral with a cpc along the full length of the cable and the cpc terminated at the fitting. Take these from an existing ceiling rose loop terminals, you now have 3 options. 1 Take your t&e to the new fitting, them t&e from loop L to switch com then use the N conductor as switch live back to the fitting. 2, From the feed with t&e to the switch, L in com and back out from l1, in the switch back box term block the N then take to the fitting. 3, Use singles, L+cpc to switch com then from l1 to fitting, N+cpc straight to the fitting.
