Basically I want to install a new circuit for smoke alarm in a property, there is a old fuse board the one with they rewire able pull out fuses, so can I just take a supply from the lighting circuit from the fuse board?

Often done that way.

if wiring back to the board though I would add a seperate circuit and use a push in wylex mcb myself, assuming it is a wylex board which it probably is, it seems daft to just double up on a lighting 3036 fuse, just can't see the point myself unless there are no spare ways.
