Hi again
Been to customers house this morning as hard wired smoke alarms have gone off with no reason to
I checked all connection and batteries then reset them but have just had a call to say they have gone off again
Can anyone shed some light on this
Please

You would probably be better off just swapping them for new tops and using those on the next job rather than trying to diagnose a fault with the system or detector that may not be there

I have just be changing some over the past 2 weeks and they were all out of date what to do if its an Aico the expiry date is on the side the rest it should be inside . Remember the mains/battery units came out about 2000 and they have a life expectancy of 11 years so do the maths on them changing the battery or hoovering them when out of date will only give you a return trip

You can hit and miss, trying to sort this out buy hoovering testing, but the end result will be the same, 4 or 5 visits and a unhappy customer.... only way is to isolate, find the the faulty unit and replace like for like...job done
