HI Everybody ! what is the correct minimal distance from doorway and wall for smoke alarm? is it 300mm from wall, door and any light fitting ? Just working on loft conversion , no fire doors so fire alarm in every bedroom needed! just wonder about positioning. thanks

thanks. as far as i know their was standard part p building regs. on smoke alarm positioning regardless manufacturer or make.just wanna be sure that's all. nothing to do with being lazy, don't have smokes just jet just doing first fix wire at property, smokes gonna arrive in 2 months + don't know what make.

By the post its BC, with loft conversions they give the choice of replacing all bedroom doors with fire doors, or fit smokes in every bedroom. Which is basically LD1
