Me and another spark are wiring a fire alarm system in the landlords stairway. On the drawing it shows a position of one smoke, but in the position it states is a slop ceiling. This is not permitted right? Unless i can get some kind of angled smoke alarm back box to make the sense not on the tilt.

Cheers

Sorry guys i was walking to the train whilst texting.

Right....

The Drawing i have shows positions of smokes.
One of the smokes marked on the drawing is on a slope in the ceiling (where the stairs above are going up as its a stairway)

Is this smoke aloud to be 1st fixed on a ceiling that isnt flat.. or would i have to find a smoke base that can tilt to level up my smoke (if there is such a base)

Haha ... better? ;)

Na he didnt know. All he was given was the measurements. And that with a layout was give to the fire guys.

Then that was than passed down to us

Any position were a smoke is required, that has a sloped ceiling the detector must be fitted to the highest point. The idea behind this is smoke rises and fills the highest void, so detector must be fiitted at the highest point of slope
