Could you give me advice on this installation please... what regs if any are being broken?

Yup, also accessories used must be suitable for the environment.

There is a reg, however, Sintra is the man for the number if no one else gets it first. :)
 
It comes under fundamental principals Reg 132.5 or132.11 ,where the equipment must not be installed in a way where detrimantal infulance will occour between electrical installation and non electrical installations , i also assume that this is a remote socket ,if its not it needs a switch

I expect a plumber came along and used thier almost total disregard for other trades and put the pipes across an unfinished outlet
 
Chicken and egg, what came first the sparky or the plumber. And i just love going back to a job and seeing that the plumber has forced his copper pipes through the joist holes that i drilled and put my cables in. revenge is sweet though, it only takes a little score with a stanley on his pipes to make him wish he hadnt.
