Socket positioning - regs???

Looking at rewiring a kitchen for a customer. They previously had french doors fitted which left a socket near the corner of the opening. I'm now looking to do a revamp including a new CU is there a reg that says how close to an opening a socket can be?

Nope..but you want to make sure it won't be liable to damage in any way.
