Hi everyone,
I have spoken to a few sparks recently about the new solar course and the intention to have solar panels and other renewable energy sources as part of new builds. I was wondering a few things:
1. What other effects will this have on the new builds, electric heating and the like?
2. When do you think that this course will become a standard part of the level 2 and 3 qualifications that new sparks learn?

I am interested to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Ryan

1. Electric heating and solar panels don't particularly go together. Summer days vs winter nights, for example.

2. I would expect that C&G would want to keep them quite separate, for obvious reasons.

My thoughts were that with a move to greener pastures an all that hippy nonsense, they would be looking at reducing the amount of finite resources being used in houses these days, oil, anything derived from oil, natural gas, etc.

What obvious reasons would these be?
