I need panels which will fit nicely into a 3.15m by 8m space. And I don't want to put them in landscape (cause i use cross rail and its too ugly/high for such a beautiful bungalow/low roof...)

So ideally they need to be 1550mm or less in length so i can get two in, (or very long!), if there are black even better, and if they are 35mm then you've just ticked all the boxes.

Had enough web searching for panels - was driving me nuts... Hopefully someone can help.......

Sharp 180-185-190-195 are about 1300mm or so if I recall. I think Schott do something in a similar length too.

Sanyo N240s are 1580mm in length, are 35mm deep and black framed - too long?

Thanks Biggs,

Yeah the Sanyos are very marginally too long. I'll check the others out... Its a real shame about the Sanyo, cause they would be ideal.

Last time i used one of the other brands you mention, i found the panels were all slightly different sizes almost a full cm difference smallest to largest. Looked dreadful. Luckily it wasn't my installation, i was just helping out.....

bosch can also, I believe, be clamped on the short side so no need for cross rails (or even slightly annoyed ones!)
Samsung, Schott and Swede solar can also be mounted on the short side, I'm sure lots of others can as well, you may just have to look around a bit.
