Hello All,

I have recently sat the 2391 and am awaiting the results. In the meantime, I was wondering if anyone can point me to good reading materials on solar photovoltaic, and if possible the best course in the uk.

The best book, the Bible and source of enough information to occupy several weekends, is produced by The German Energy Society: Planning and Installing Photovoltaic Systems.
But the DTI's 'Photovoltaics in Buildings: Guide to the installation of PV systems: 2nd Edition is also essential reading.

Recommending a course is tricky, because you'd need to attend several to determine which are better than the rest.
I tried a supplier's course: this was 1 day (therefore Good), but of low value - it should have been free.
A few months later I attended the NICEIC PV Installers course, and that was more useful (and took 3 days) at PPL Training, York.
