Anyone installed them? Know any suppliers? Working for a client who wants to install trackers on a flat-roof 30m high! Anyone done a wind loading calcs for anything like this?!

to give you an idea, a full ground standing tacker for 4kW needs around a 5.5 tonne concrete base.

there may be roof mounted trackers around, but personally I'd look at the east west low balast systems, as an east west system has a very similar generation curve to a tracker, and obviously will generate a lot less output per kWp, but should generate around the same for the same amount of money invested / ac output limit.

We've not installed one yet, but have been doing some serious investigation and costings and have a few quotes out for ground mounted trackers.

I'd agree with Gavins post trackers are best on the ground the ballast , the one I've done one for the company I sub to was around 6 ton
I forget the manufacturer ,but this one is a triangular frame so it looks like an inverted pyramid and moves via a small pneumatic ram ,very easy to set up and with the ram a lot cheaper to maintain than a motor powered tracker as the ram only costs around ÂŁ130.00 to replace that was the tracker manufacturers price ,but I'm sure you could get them for less.
