Hi guys, I have recently applied to do the CG2357 Part time at college. It's a 3 year course, 2 nights a week (3 hours each). I have no electrical installation experience and I will be studying whilst still doing my other job (Aerospace Warehouse) until I can find and afford to be an apprentice. I am really interested in the profession and keen to learn.

My First question is, is this the best option to go for as i'm starting out?

Will I need an apprenticeship to complete this course? As I see it's different to the level 2 and 3 NVQ courses out there?

And what sort of mathematics will I find on the course so I can revise, a lot of algebra?

Thanks, any help is much appreciated.

Louis

2357 is the way to go. a lot of the maths is basic arithmetic, but there will be more advanced stuff as well.

fox when you start at college they will get you to do functional skills english, mathd and maybe it

depending on how well you do will change which one they want you to do.

you will be fine with the maths, it will be remembering all the theory etc that will be the hard part
