Hi I am a qualified uk electrician with 17th edition and 2391 etc. Just bought a small apartment in Spain and am having new lowered ceilings fitted. An ideal time to install down lights and ceiling lights to replace all the wall lights.
I understand the Spanish way of wiring. Flexible conduit buried in walls running between junction/access boxes and on to lights and switches, CPCs same size as live conductors, double pole MCBs etc etc.
What I am not sure about is the erection methods, i.e. whether it is neccesary to run flexible conduit in a ceiling void situation, and if so how to terminate it at lights and down lights. T and E is not used in Spain, but flex is. I could run flex from the high level joint boxes, via a short piece of flexy conduit buried in the wall, and up into the ceiling and then just flex across to the lights.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated,
